A brewery in Leeds making modern, flavourful beer, inspired by the brewing heritage of Kirkstall. In the 12th century, Cistercian monks founded Kirkstall Abbey and started the area’s brewing legacy when they built a brewhouse. This was followed in the 19th century by the original Kirkstall Brewery, which followed the rich tradition of thirst quenching, laid down by the monks. Our own brewery was founded in 2011 and makes (what we hope is) quality, quaffable beer which, whilst being informed by trend, maintains impeccable consistency and balance.
