The Munich Oktoberfest is the most famous and largest beer festival in the world. Every year, over six million visitors celebrate the unique atmosphere and Munich beer. As early as 1810, at the first Oktoberfest held in honor of the wedding of Prince Ludwig and his Therese, a tavern from what was then the "Royal Hofbräuhaus" was there to cater to the courtly festivities. To this day, Hofbräu Oktoberfest beer – a full-bodied, bottom-fermented specialty beer – with its fine hop aroma, tastes just right with Wiesn roast chicken.
